Koh Samui has some of the best beaches in Thailand, all of them with their own atmosphere. They offer different options for activities and entertainment. There are all kinds of entertainment options a traveler looks for on the beaches. Restaurants and bungalows are located near the major beaches of Koh Samui.
Chaweng Beach
Chaweng, the most popular beach in Koh Samui, witness the busiest piece of action on the island’s finest surf and sand. Available for every pocket,there’re many accommodation options. From beachside cafes to sophisticated cocktail bars and discos,Chaweng offers everything. It is steps ahead from other places in Samui as for nightlife.
Lamai Beach
It is the second most popular beach located on the southern part of the island. You would enjoy it although it is smaller and a bit more laid-back than Chaweng. Walk it in evenings is a refreshing experience. Here,You would find many entertainment venues and eateries. Some find swimming in Lamai even better than on Chaweng beach. Here,sand is as good as Chaweng.
Bophut Beach
Bophut lies near Samui’s famous Big Buddha landmark. White sandy shoreline fringed by coconut palms,it is a couple of miles long. It is a nice place to have some gala time. Fisherman’s Village, located next to the beach, is lined with old wooden houses, small trendy shops and restaurants.
Maenam Beach
Those choose Maenam Beach who want to have their vacations in solitude. Some of Samui’ most expensive deluxe resorts are located here. To the beach there are many excellent local restaurants plus spa centres which add entertainment to it.Maenam is a nice place to stay if you are not very fond of nightlife.
Big Buddha Beach
A fast developing beach, Big Buddha benefits from its location near the airport and popular Chaweng Beach. Christened after the statue that gives the beach its name, it is a convenient place to catch a ferry or speedboat to nearby islands like Koh Phang Nga. On this beach,there are budget to mid-price bungalows located.

Lipa Noi Beach
In Koh Samui,sunsets nowhere look as beautiful as from Lipanoi beach. On weekends,the locals know this and gather here. The waters are shallow and ideal for having some water games. Though it looks busy on weekends, it is quiet throughout a week. Some bungalows and a restaurants are located close to the beach.
